How and why this book was written!

 

The Girl Scout Gold Award Project is the highest award in Girl Scouts.  This book project completes my years as a Girl Scout. When I was thinking of what I wanted to do for my Gold Award Project, I knew it would be something that would be  lasting.  It would also benefit children and adults around the world.  I decided I wanted to write a book.  I had never written a book and did not really know how to publish a book either.  

 

I decided to enter a writing contest.  The contest gave me 3 things that must be in the story and limited the amount of words I could submit.  The story had to include the following:  Be a fairy tale, be about a fool and involve leftovers.  This is how this book began.  I wanted it to be inspiring, thought provoking and teach a life lesson.  I wanted to teach Universal Truths in a fun and entertaining way.  I wanted a book that will relate to many people from many cultures around the world.  

 

I did not win the contest, however, I did develop a story.  That story became what is known as A Tree Party and became my Girl Scout Gold Award Project.  All of the proceeds from the book sales, including donations, will benefit children’s homes and orphanages around the world.  My dream would be to one day translate this book into other languages.

 

This is the first of my Universal Truth Collection.  I believe that there are children and adults around the world just waiting for the message A Tree Party has inside these pages.  I want you to be part of this journey with me.  Please share my book with others and help me to inspire and uplift millions of people world wide.
